lyrics

I took my baby to the shore and left him,
arms up aboard, full sail,
the others said; -take it as it goes-,
I just fell to pieces,
what’s life after all but a long goodbye?

I took my baby to the docks, where we built our playgrounds,
soon understood the meaning of the fog and the clenched fist,
and one day said; -will it make you proud, mum, if I sail the bottomless waters, and join the army of the iron faced ship?

Mother dressed me up, tied my bag and watched me leave, said remember son, you’ve got a bond to keep

Years and weeks and passed,
I never heard from him,
Now the captain is crazy and keeps a book with our faults,
Sleeps with one eye open, and talks with the boat
As I lay with one eye and open I can feel his face hovering over my head
Says nobody is going to take you home and save you

I’ve seen the ship eat little children,
With sharp teeth made of nails

I saw you playin’ a part,
Your spirit being taken

Mother dressed me up, tied me bag and bury me in
Don’t tell me now I’ve got a bond to keep,
Mother dressed me up, tied my back to the belly of the ship
Don’t tell me now you’ve got a bond to keep,

(...)

on the beach, some kids play with some carcass washed up by the sea and sing:
"we don't fear no the iron faced ship"

armes carregades a bord, a tota vela,

I mai vaig rebre noticies d'ell,
i em diu -ningú et tornarà a casa, ningú et salvarà"

He vist el vaixell menjar nins petits,

The Cicely Satellites Alaska

From the ashes of things learnt and memories forgotten rise the cicely satellites, a collective of 6 creatures of the night.
